In addition to Budaörs Headquarters and Paks Office, three facilities used for the short term and long-term storage of radioactive wastes and nuclear fuels are operated by PURAM. These are as follows:
- Radioactive Waste Processing and Disposal Facility (RWTDF) at Püspökszilágy for the disposal of radioactive wastes of institution origin,
- National Radioactive Waste Repository (NRWR) at Bátaapáti for the final disposal of low- and intermediate-level wastes of nuclear power plant origin,
- Interim Spent Fuel Store (ISFS) at Paks for the safe interim storage of the used (spent) fuel assemblies of the nuclear power plant, for a period of 50 years, which is required for technical reasons before disposal.
