Dr. Ferenc Kereki

Photo: Dr. Ferenc KerekiHe graduated as a Mining Engineer in 1982 from the Miskolc Technical University of Heavy Industry. Responsibilities in his first jobs included developing and applying mining technologies, then operations management. He then worked for 16 years at the Hungarian Office for Mining and Geology’s Pécs District Mining Inspectorate, out of which 10 was spent as the leader of the budgetary organ. In the meantime he earned a degree in the law as well. He took on important responsibilities during the preparation of the waste management bill. From 2009 he served as construction manager of the Bátaapáti National Radioactive Waste Repository’s building activities, and also participated in the planning tasks of the underground storage sections. On 15 November 2010, he was appointed by the Director General of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Agency to be the Managing Director of the Agency.

Csaba Gyöngyösi

Photo: Csaba GyöngyösiHe graduated as a civil engineer in 1995., and as economist engineer in 1998. He completed his MSC studies between 2009-2010. and graduated as environment engineer. Following the first graduation (1996.) he worked on construction of state investments and industrial facilities as preparatory engineer and further on as head of construction. He found employment at Paks Nuclear Power Plant in 1998., so first he worked in area of environment, and after as several economic senior engineer for the office of maintenance director. He started to work for PURAM in 2006 as senior expert, and was named Investments Director from September 1, 2011.

László Faragó

Photo: László FaragóHe graduated as an Electrical Engineer in 1976 and obtained a university degree as Business Economist in 1995. He had been an employee of Paks Nuclear Power Plant from 1979, where he was involved in the commissioning tests, later in the preparation engineering work and finally he had been the Head of Investments Engineering Section until he joined Public Agency for Radioactive Waste Management. He made use of the most of his wide range of engineering and financial experience and knowledge as Finance Director of the Agency during the period from 1998 to 2008. He has been the Director of the National Radioactive Waste Repository (Bátaapáti) since September 2008.

István Barnabás

Photo: István BarnabásHe has been a Chemical Engineer since 1988. Initially, he worked in the field of radiation protection in the Isotope Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He joined Paks Nuclear Power Plant in 1989. He specialised in nuclear environment monitoring and in his capacity, he had worked in the Environment Monitoring Laboratory for six years. Subsequently, he became the Head of the Discharge Monitoring Laboratory, which was also responsible for the fulfilment operative tasks, until the establishment of PURAM. From 1998 to 2000, he had worked as a Senior Consultant at the Technological and Scientific Directorate and in 2002, he became the Director of Operations.

Dr. Gábor Bacskó

Photo: Dr. Gábor BacskóHe graduated in mechanical engineering from the Rostov Technical University in 1977, and then, he found employment at Paks Nuclear Power Plant. Initially he was involved in the operational activities and later he became a commissioning test engineer. He had worked as a Chief Technologist from 1994. He was involved in the development of the Safety Enhancement Measures and in the work of a project team set up for the capacity extension of the power plant. Currently, he works as the Chief Engineer for the Investments Directorate of PURAM.

Sándor Kaszás

Photo: Sándor KaszásHe has graduated from the Police Agent College in 1975. Subsequently, he worked for the Tolna County Police Headquarters and later for the Tolna County Office of the National Security Agency. As Deputy Office Manager, he was responsible for managing the tasks relating to the national security related safeguarding of Paks Nuclear Power Plant. He has been the Head of the Security Services of PURAM since 1 February 2002. In his office, he manages the work of the organisation responsible for security guarding services and physical protection of the facilities operated by PURAM.

Sándor Kapitány

Photo: Sándor KapitányHe obtained an Engineer-Physicist degree in 1999 and an Environment and Hydro-technologist qualification in 2001. He has been working at the Püspökszilágy site since 2000, initially as a radiation protection agent and Deputy Site Manager and from 2007, as the Site Manager. At the same time, he fulfils the function of an ADR advisor to PURAM.

Zoltán László

Photo: Zoltán LászlóHe graduated as a mathematics and physics teacher in 1993. He worked as a physician at the Regional Institute of the National Health Agency in the South-Transdanubian area from 2001 to 2008. He has been working as the head of environment and radiation protection at PURAM in Bátaapáti since 2008. He took part in installing the new radioactive waste repository, as well as designing policies and the training for the staff. Since September 2011 he has been the manager of the repository in Bátaapáti.

Bálint Nős

Photo: Bálint NősHe took an M.Sc. degree as an engineering physicist (specialized in nuclear techniques) at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2002. After finishing the University, he joined PURAM. He started his carrier as a research fellow and his special fields of work were safety assessment, waste acceptance, radiation protection and the back-end of the fuel cycle. Since 2004, he has been the head of the Radiation Protection Service of PURAM. He is the representative of PURAM in several national and international bodies and organisations. From 1st February 2011, he was appointed to be the head of the Strategy Development and Engineering Office, which was newly established within PURAM.
